Privacy Policy

The short version
We collect the minimum we need to run the course, we never sell it or share it for advertising, there are no ads and no third-party trackers, and kids never get their own accounts. We do keep our own private record of how lessons get used (like which step a lesson was left on) so we can fix the confusing parts. It stays in our database and goes nowhere else. This is a family education product, not a data business.
What we collect
From you (the parent): your email address. It’s the whole account; there’s no password to store. About your kid: a first name, birth month and year (never the day), a chosen avatar, lesson progress (which lessons are finished, how far into each lesson they got, and quiz scores), and anything you type into the feedback box. That’s the full list.
What we deliberately don’t collect
No kid email addresses or kid accounts: the account belongs to the parent, and kids use the app through it. No exact birthdays, no photos, no location, no contacts. And because there are no real-money features, we never see balances, holdings, or anything financial about your family.
Children’s privacy
The course is designed for kids 9–12 used with a parent. Consistent with COPPA’s data-minimization principle, we collect only what a parent enters about their own child, we use it only to show progress inside your family’s account, and we never use it for advertising or profiling. Delete a kid or your account and that data goes with it.
Where it lives
Data is stored with Supabase (our database and authentication provider), scoped so each family can only ever read its own rows. Magic-link sign-in emails are sent through Supabase’s email service. We don’t run third-party analytics trackers or ad pixels. The only usage measurement is our own: simple events (lesson step viewed, quiz submitted, lesson finished) written to the same database as the rest of your family’s data, used solely to improve the course, and deleted along with your kid or your account.
Sharing
We don’t sell or rent your data, and we never share it for advertising or marketing. The only parties that touch it are the infrastructure providers above, and only to run the service. The one exception any honest policy has to name: we would disclose information if the law required it (a court order, for example), or if doing so were necessary to protect a child’s safety.
Your controls
Want your data corrected, exported, or deleted (including everything about your kids)? Email andrew.grant@gmail.com and it’s done. During beta this is handled personally by the builder.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, beta families hear about it by email before it takes effect.
